An abundance of space at FMI City

CERTAINLY, space is not a problem in this house – once you get there. Over the Hlaing River, 45 minutes from downtown, there is a large one-storey house in a big compound waiting for someone ready to trade time for space.

Located in FMI city complex, this six-bedroom house graces a 10,400 square foot compound off the Yangon-Pathein road. The local branches of City Mart and Diamond City Hypermart are within walking distance if you feel like leaving the car in the two-car garage.

Despite the surrounding space – lawns, concrete driveway, gazebo and pool – you might feel the lack of a shady tree. Construction was completed only six months ago.
The house is pastel pink, with tangerine and avocado highlights, and that’s just the exterior. Inside, there is a master bedroom, three single beds, all ensuite, and sleeping accommodation for a driver and a maid, all in angel-cake colours.

The room next to the living room would suit an honoured guest.

All rooms open into a hall-like central space for sitting and chatting or children’s play, plus a study, shrine room, dining room, kitchen and common toilet. There are many rooms in this 4800-square-foot space, but none of them is particularly spacious. The flooring is a mix of high-gloss parquet and tiling.

The property comes with one extension telephone line and six air-conditioners, as well as a tube-well water supply and one electricity meter. Monthly charges for general services amount to K5750.
