LOADS of space and enviable proximity to the downtown area are the upsides to this house in Tarmwe township.
The two-storey house on Pin Shwe Nyaung Street, just off Lay Daunt Kan Road, covers about 5000 square feet in total, with the yard measuring about 8450 square feet. And it’s only about 25 minutes’ drive from downtown most of the time.
So, what’s not to like? Not a lot really. The façade is fairly restrained, and while there are the usual pillars, they are only one-storey high and not overly decorative.
There’s also a number of small balconies that appear to serve little purpose. White paint is used on the exterior and generally seems to work nicely but will need work to keep mould at bay.
And while it is undoubtedly large, K410 million is a lot of money, particularly for Tarmwe township.
However, for that outlay you do get five ensuite bedrooms – two singles, two doubles and a master, including hot water in the bathrooms.
There are no surprises in the interior – the floor is mostly teak parquet, the walls are painted either white or cream and the lighting is mainly via downlights and decorative fixtures. The house is about two years old and both the exterior and interior remain in good condition. One telephone line and an electricity meter are included in the sale price while the water is supplied by both government mains and tube-well.
