MYANMAR-made products will be showcased at an exhibition to be held next month, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) has announced.
The Myanmar Industrial Exhibition take place on March 5-7 at Tatmadaw Hall, U Wisara Street, the UMFCCI said.
The exhibition is aimed at publicising locally made industrial products and extending the market for them, said U Paw Hein, chairman of the Myanmar Industrial Association, part of UMFCCI.
“If the public use locally made products, local industries will profit, and that means the public will benefit as well,” he said.
The exhibition will also feature lucky draw programs, said Dr Aung Thein, managing director of Nibban electronics, one of the 12 sponsors of the event.
Electronics, cosmetics and consumer products, agricultural equipment and construction materials will be among the locally manufactured products featured.
“This is UMFCCIs first large exhibition – we’ve been working towards it for the past two or three years,” said U Zaw Min Win, the deputy chairman of MIA.
