ANOTHER international airline is now connected to Yangon, following the inaugural flight of Malaysia’s Air Asia new direct route from Kuala Lumpur to Yangon International Airport on July 20.
The flight, which arrived from Kuala Lumpur with 133 passengers, returned the same evening with 136 passengers.
The spokesperson for River Orchid, the agency for Air Asia in Yangon, said the new direct route between Yangon and Kuala Lumpur would be welcomed by Myanmar workers in Malaysia, since its cheap fares would enable them to visit home more often.
She said the airline would offer daily flights between the two countries, using an Airbus A320 that can accommodate 180 passengers.
