THE Ministry of Mines is set to host a gem emporium early next month at a hall in Nay Pyi Taw’s Zabuthiri township that is being constructed by Htoo Trading.
Gems, jade and pearls will be sold at the emporium through a tender system, officials said.
Htoo Trading is building Maniyadana Hall for the event, which is expected to be held in the first week of October. The hall is located on a 20-acre compound beside the gems museum on Yazathingaha Road.
Gem businesses have until September 20 to submit items to sell at the emporium, which is popular with Thai and Chinese traders.
