RED Horse Industrial Ltd., owner of the PEP brand of milk powder has announced a photo competition with a top prize of K1.5 million.
“We created this contest with two aims in mind: firstly, to promote new photographers and secondly, to create publicity for our dairy products because drinking milk in our country is not as common as in other countries.
Photographers must enter photos that contain family scenes and feature the PEP dairy product, according to U Aung Kyaw Naing, Marketing Manager for Red Horse Industrial. The closing date is January 31, 2010.
A total of 16 prizes will be awarded totalling K8 million. K1.5 million each will be awarded to the winning photographer and family photographed. Similar awards of K1 million and K500,000 will be awarded to two photographers and two families. Five runner-up photographers and families will each receive K200,000 each.
The Myanmar Photo-graphic Society will be responsible for judging the competition, according to Chairman U Phay Maung Tin.
“We are pleased to be involved in this photo contest, which fits with the rules of our Myanmar Photographic Society. The contestants can help photography [in Myanmar] to develop.
Each contestant can submit four photos, which should be no larger than 15x10 inches. Winners will be announced in February 2010 in local journals and magazines. For more information telephone Red Horse Industrial on 256579.
