Exhibition covers past through covers
THE Myanmar Traditional Artists and Artisans Organisation recently held an exhibition of magazine front covers that featured in Shumawa magazine. The monthly magazine was founded in 1946 by Shumawa U Kyaw and turned out its first issue in June 1947. “My father loved art and literature and appreciated artists, so he wanted to publish the original paintings of artists rather than feature photos on the covers of the magazine,”(Volume 26, No. 507)![]()
Uranium dance school offers scholarships
Uranium Dance School have announced a scholarship program to coincide with their 1st anniversary celebrated on January 18. “We would like to let those people who are interested in dance get into the dance stream as we want to see more qualified dancers in the future. Hair donations help communities repair road
