Japanese food promotion
Japanese sushi chef Hiroshi Ishii will be promoting Japanese food at Shiki-Tei Restaurant in Parkroyal Hotel, Yangon from March 8 to 14. Mr Ishii works at Keyaki Pan Pacific Restaurant in Singapore and will be offering bento box styled lunch menus and buffet dinners. The chef’s temporary residence at the hotel will start with a dinner on March 8 held in the Grand Ballroom at 6pm. Tickets are US$32 for the opening event and evening buffer dinners. New Zero Art Space exhibition
Inspired by hip-hop and wall art, artist Thu Myat will be holding his first exhibition at New Zero Art Space on Bo Yar Nyunt Street, Dagon township until March 3. On the final day Thu Myat will create an artwork using spray paint. Entrance to the event is free.
Summer art training course
River Art is offering a course in drawing for children aged 5-14. The course begins on March 6. Enrol at Building Six, 3rd floor, Road 1, Hledan. The three-month course costs K35,000 per child with five classes per week. The closing date for enrolment is March 4.
Sherlock Holmes now screening
The film Sherlock Holmes is screening at Nay Pyi Daw cinema until March 4. The film stars Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Mark Strong and Rachel McAdams.
