Moe Myint Zon exhibition
Artist Moe Myint Zon will hold his first solo exhibition from June 7 to 13 at Pansodan Gallery, 386 Pansodan Road, Yangon. The paintings include pastoral scenes in a contemporary style.
Rare book fair
A rare book fair hosted by Amyin Thit bookshop is being held from June 1 to 20 at Lawkanat gallery on the corner of Pansodan and Merchant roads. Books on pagoda histories, novels, biographies, dictionaries and glossy magazines will all be on sale. A small exhibition of paintings will also accompany the fair.
Art exhibition in tribute to painter Than Myint Aung
Artists will pay tribute to deceased painter Than Myint Aung, who passed away on May 11, by holding an art exhibition from June 10 to 14 at the Myanmar Traditional Artists and Artisans Organisation, Bogyoke Market. Thirty artists will participate in the exhibition that will showcase a variety of styles. A percentage of profits from sales will go towards the artist’s parents, who are retired in Magway Division.
