‘Riding on the sea’ art exhibition
Aung Min, better known as lyricist of several successful songs, is holding his third solo exhibition entitled “Riding on the sea” from July 31 to August 30 at New Treasure Art Gallery, 84/A, Thanlwin St, Golden Hill Avenue, Golden Valley, Bahan township. The paintings are inspired by a trip the artist took in 2000 when he spent a few days by the sea. The paintings mostly depict children playing, with the sea as backdrop.
The ‘A-team’ at Nay Pyi Daw cinema
The A-team, a re-hash of the cult-status television series that screened in the 1980s, began screening at Nay Pyi Daw cinema on July 30. The film stars Liam Neeson, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto and Quinton Rampage Jackson.
Book fair at Lawkanat Gallery
To mark the 11th anniversary of Seikku Cho Cho publishing house, a book fair is being held at Lawkanat Gallery from July 27 to August 6 with discounts between 15-40 per cent. Parents who bring their children to the fair will receive a free book whether they buy anything or not.
