Oldies concert
Eighteen celebrated singers, including Play Boy Than Naing, Bo Bo Han, Victor Khin Nyo, Zaw Win Shain, Khine Htoo, Khin Maung Htoo, Khin Maung Toe and others will perform their greatest hits on September 17 at the National Theatre, starting at 6:30pm. Tickets range from K10,000 to K15,000, available at Ko Ko Nyi Nyi beauty saloon (La Pyae Wun plaza and Dagon Centre), Man Thiri Music production and Lu Gyi Min phone shop in Latha township.
Alex Vs Underground
Singer Alex will perform a concert at Hmyaw Sin Island, Kandawgyi Park on September 5 with 16 underground rock bands. Tickets are K5000 each, available at Mr Phone shop.
‘The Source’ exhibition
The Israeli embassy will hold a photo exhibition entitled “The Source” from August 17 to September 10 at Beik Thano art gallery, 113/3 (B), Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, Bahan township. The exhibition features various religious sites and traditions practiced in Israel.
Japanese film screening
The Japanese embassy will screen The Dreamy Fifteen at the Assembly Hall of the embassy on August 26 and 27 at 2:30pm. The film is directed by Shinji Soomai. Tickets for the screening are available up until the day of the screening (between 9am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm) at the embassy.
Paintings of Bagan
An exhibition of Bagan paintings will be held from September 9 to 16 at Morekha art gallery on the ground floor of Building C, Pearl Condo in Bahan township. Eleven artists have contributed to the exhibition.
Ye Nanda album release
Ye Nanda has released Nhalone Thar Hma Moe Tha Chin Myar (Rain Songs in the Heart) on VCD and DVD, available since August 16.
