‘Mirrors of Myanmar’ exhibition
‘Mirrors of Myanmar’, a photo exhibition organised by the Myanmar Marketing Committee (MMC) will be held from November 26 to December 3 at Traders Hotel. The 100 photographs are drawn from entries to the recent MMC photo competition.
‘This is Kin Maung Yin’ retrospective
Artist Kin Maung Yin’s collected artworks will be exhibited from November 28 to December 5. The exhibition, entitled “This is Kin Maung Yin” draws on the artist’s paintings dating back to the 1980s. Kin Maung Yin will also release his autobiography. The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm at Morekha Art Gallery on the ground floor of Block C, Pearl Condominium, Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, Bahan township.
‘Skyline’ screening at Nay Pyi Daw
Science fiction film Skyline is currently screening at Nay Pyi Daw cinema. The film stars Donald Faison and Eric Balfour and was directed by Colin Strause.
DJ event at Yangon Hotel
DJs Thaw Thaw, Lin Lin, Kyaw Thu and Jerry are gathering for a hip-hop DJ party at Y Bar, Yangon Hotel, 8 Mile Junction on December 1. Doors are open from 11:30am to 6pm. Tickets are K5000 and include a drink.
Middle Wave begin tour
Myitzima Hlaing (Middle Wave) band kicked off their country-wide tour on November 26 with a concert in Yangon. The band, which has been going for over 30 years, has toured in the past but never with such a busy schedule. The band will finish in January 4 in Magwe Region and have a total of 18 free concerts organised, which will take them to cities such as Nay Pyi Daw, Taunggyi, Mandalay, Pyi and Magwe.
