Tourism directory released
NEW photos, sections and destinations have all been added to the 2009-10 edition of the Myanmar Hotels and Tourism Directory, released late last month.
While there are no wholesale changes, the updated directory has several new listings in the section on Myanmar culture detailing the features of Buddha images and an overview of painting in Myanmar.
There’s also information on new tourist destinations in almost every state and division and a new section on Nay Pyi Taw.
Owners of previous versions will quickly notice that almost all of the photographs are new, including one of the spectacular Gokteik Viaduct on the Mandalay-Lashio railway line in Shan State.
The directory is on sale now for US$25 at Inwa bookstore in Yangon and all CityMart Branches in Yangon and Mandalay.
