Myanmar: past, present and future
Myanmar is on the threshold of democratic change. From April 2011, it has taken the first tentative steps on its journey towards democracy but we can clearly see that democracy is still in its teething stage. Seven months is too short a time for a government, as well as for the people, to properly adjust to the ways of democracy but the hearts and minds of all Myanmar are eager to attain that long-awaited goal.
