Soft rock compilation released

The album, titled Chit Thu A Nar (Nearly Lovers), includes six previously released songs plus six new tunes, by vocalists Alex, R Zarni, Phyo Gyi, Pu Su, Aung La (Reason), Bunny Phyoe, Wine Su Khine Thein, Chan Chan, Eaint Chit, Nan Sandy and Thin Myat Noe.

DJ course opens

DJ Wine said that since the first course was offered last year, interest in electronic DJ music has boomed in Myanmar.
“The number of people who love DJ music has radically increased in the past year, so our course will guide them with the help of DJs who work at clubs, including famous Thxa Soe,” he said.

Young artist expresses yearnings in paintings

“It took me two weeks to make this painting,” Soe San said. “The text on the face represents all my desires in life. There are so many things I haven’t been able to do for many reasons, so I wrote everything I want on my self-portrait in the painting.”

Everything needs to be ordered from the rather expensive menu, which tops out at K45,000 for a dish of sea cucumber. While oddly tempting, we instead opted for the fried kimchi-stuffed chicken (K8000), beef and jinchae sauce (K8500), pan-fried kimchi pancake (K5000) and white kimchi (K4000), which paired nicely with a bottle of Pyongyang soju (K8000).
