Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF) has set up an international division to broaden the country’s outreach and attract more tourists and business visitors.
Speaking at the launch of the new division at Traders Hotel, Yangon, on Monday, November 5, MTF chairman U Yan Win said: “We aim to welcome more people to be part of our fascinating development. We are happy to see more tourists and business people come here.”
MTF international division will be managed by U Tin Aung Lynn, in partnership with an award-winning design consultancy, DM-ID Holland, which will manage publicity, including a new logo.
During the three-year term of its contract with MTF, DM ID Holland will manage approximately 17 events, including the Myanmar Food Fair and a marathon, U Tin Aung Lynn told The Myanmar Times.
“We are excited to see growth in Myanmar and delighted to be part of it. Our group can offer branding, public relations, augmented reality and digital services. We're very excited with this work,” said Mr Daniel Surya, president of DM-ID Holland Southeast Asia.
U Tin Aung Lynn said MTF international division would create the Myanmar Business Club, which would help and connect business people from global markets who wish to understand more about doing business in this country, as well as tourism.
In October, MTF also signed a deal with Sphere Conferences, Singapore, for the management of tourism-related conferences.
