Fifty-five
babies crawled and stumbled their way down the catwalk at
the Huggies Baby Competition on February 24 and 25. |
“Goo goo gah gah,” was about all six-month-old Egga
Kaung Myat could muster after winning the Huggies Baby Competition
held at FMI shopping centre on February 24 and 25.
Stars & Models International organised the contest held
over two days, which saw 55 babies from around Yangon battle it
out over who could look the cutest.
Egga won the six months to one year category while two-year-old
Seint Sandi Maung took out the one to two years category.
The youngsters had to compete by crawling across the makeshift
catwalk and the elder toddlers were tested on their physical and
intellectual skill.
The first-prize winners took home K50000, second-prize was K30000
and third-prize, K20000.
Huggies product manager Ma Cho Oo Lwin said the day was to bring
customers together.
“We want the parents and kids to have a good time, to
be happy and satisfied,” she said.
Huggies are organising a similar contest in Mandalay on March
30 and 31, but the location has not been finalised.
“We also organised an Ocean Supermarket baby contest in
January this year and we plan on continuing them both annually,”
said Ma Cho Oo Lwin.
The day was co-sponsored by Calpol.
