THE government has rejected as “groundless” accusations made by the International Committee of the Red Cross last week that Myanmar was guilty of major and repeated human rights abuses.

“We met her during a summer training course last year that was run jointly by the Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Education. We found that she was familiar with chess but did not know much about theory and methods,”

THE government plans to make Myanmar self-sufficient in rice for a population of 100 million Lieutenant General Myint, Swe of the Ministry of Defence said at the annual general meeting of the Myanmar Rice Millers Association on June 30.

 

“If we can breed one million goats (twice a year), we can get two million goats a year for export,” the minister, Brigadier General Maung Maung Thein, said in Yangon during a weekly meeting of livestock and fisheries entrepreneurs, referring to the six-month breeding schedule for goats.
