Women graduates present works

Paintings by women graduates of the University of Culture will be exhibited from August 6 to 11 at the Law Ka Nat Gallery in Pansodan, Yangon. Wings includes 50 artists who will display works created from 1970 to present. They will include oil and watercolour on canvas as well as new media. Around 100 paintings will be on display.

Beauty contest for all ages

PUPA Cosmetics is inviting girls and women of all ages to enter their annual beauty contest, which will be held at the end of this year. Applications are available at PUPA counters and must be returned before December 1. First prize is worth K150,000, second is K100,000 and third prize is K70,000.

Traditional dancer to perform at National Theatre

Po Chit, who performed in February’s Hmyawzinkyun show, will hold a solo show on July 24 and 25 at the National Theatre in Yangon. Tickets cost between K2000 and K5000 and can be purchased at 182-202 34th Street in Upper Kyauktada township.

U Lun Gywe at the Strand

Artist U Lun Gywe’s 18 oil on canvas paintings are on display until July 28 at the Northern Breeze Hall inside the Strand Hotel, Yangon.
