MYANMAR has been invited to participate in the 25th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO25) in Cebu City, Philippines, from November 27 to 29.

The conference will be hosted by the Philippine Technology Council in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) is urging its members to participate in the conference.

“Interested members should inform the MES at its Hlaing campus compound no later than July 25,” said U Hla Myint, the manager of the society.

The conference, whose theme will be “Engineering and the Environment: Ensuring the Survival of Future Generations”, will feature paper presentations by local and international speakers, as well as an engineering project competition.
“This is a good opportunity for Myanmar engineering professionals to meet with engineering professionals from other countries and share their knowledge,” said a member of the society.

MES had hosted the 22nd Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations at Sedona Hotel in December 2004.
