UNINTERRUPTED views across the city and towards paddy fields over the Yangon River make this 7th floor apartment in Ahlone township a great place to get away from the bustle of the city while staying within easy commuting distance of downtown.

Located in the two-year-old King Tower, this three-bedroom condo comes with the option of buying a second, nearly identical, 2988-square-foot apartment on the same floor at the same price – great for keeping family members nearby without sacrificing privacy.

The neighbouring apartment, accessible through a door connecting their dining rooms, has an additional, single bedroom, a foyer and an altar room at the expense of a larger lounge.

The owner’s family currently use the two apartments as a single home, although the connecting door will be blocked off if only one apartment is sold.
All three double bedrooms both have their own bathrooms attached and two of the bedrooms have personal balconies. Of these, one has views across the rooftops to Shwedagon Pagoda.

There is an open-plan kitchen and dining area separated by a counter, which creates a pleasant social setting where family members can go about their own business without getting in each other’s way.

The apartment has six balconies in total, with one off the living room looking towards the nearby Central Women’s Hospital and another behind the kitchen facing the river.

The main entrance, secured with a metal-bar door and a solid wood door behind that, opens to the spacious living room.

In the neighbouring apartment, the front door opens to a small foyer, beyond which is an altar room and a series of bedrooms. Overall, it loses the airy feel for the sake of additional rooms.

There are six air conditioners in the three-bedroom apartment and five in the other.

Each place comes with its own underground car park, although the owner said she will only leave a phone line for buyers if they purchase both apartments together, which have a joint asking price of K250 million.

The agent handling the sale said K110 million per apartment was a more reasonable price.
