MYANMAR Airways International (MAI) is offering package tours to foreign destinations for local residents starting this month.

The first tour, to Bangkok from August 18 to 21, will include trips to the Emerald Buddha, Royal Palace, Tropical Garden, Coral Island, Pattaya Beach and shopping centres. The cost is US$310 a person, including three nights at Bangkok Palace Hotel.

The trip to Singapore, from September 5 to 8, will cost US$517 a person and include visits to Sentosa Island, Merlion Park, Esplanade Theatre and the Song of the Sea Show. Guests will stay at Peninsula Excelsior Hotel.

Ma Mie Mie from MAI’s marketing department, said more package tours will be scheduled in the future.

“So far we have only scheduled the August and September trips but we will add more for the high season and during school holidays,” she said.
