THE Myanmar Marketing Committee (MMC) under the Myanmar Tourism
Promotion Board will participate in the Japan Association of Travel
Agents (JATA) World Travel Fair 2007 from September 13 to 16 in
Tokyo.
Daw Khine Wai Thwe, the public relations manager at MMC, said
local representatives from seven travel agencies, two airlines
and one hotel would participate in the fair to promote Myanmar
as a tourist destination in the Japanese market.
“Our prime objective is to let the Japanese people know
better about Myanmar tourist destinations,” she said.
The participating airline companies are Myanmar Airways International
and Air Bagan, while the lone hotel is Hotel Nikko Royal Lake.
The seven travel agencies are Tour Mandalay, Peace Smile Land
