New film to be screened at Japan embassy

The Japanese Embassy will screen the Japanese film Terrible Couple (Tonda Kappuru), starring Yakushimaru Hiroko and Tsurumi Shingo and directed by Somai Sinji, on September 27 and 28 at 2:30pm inside the Assembly Hall at the embassy. Tickets will be available from September 17 from 9am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

Myanmar soap operas to replace Korean programs

A new 15-episode Myanmar soap opera, “Moving Out of the Nightmares” (Aein Mat Soe Hma Ma Noe Kin), will replace Korean soaps that are usually aired at 7pm on the MRTV. Other Myanmar soaps will follow, including “Occasional Love” (Ah Chit Thee Yan Pan Yan Khar Hnite) and “A Hair Tie Without a Loose Hair” (San Myiet Ma Pyay Pan Ma Kyway).

Scenes of Bagan in Yangon at art exhibition

Yangon artists will showcase the best of Bagan at an exhibition in Yangon from September 14 to 22. Twelve artists will display around 60 paintings of Bagan’s sites at the Artist and Artisans Organisation inside Bogyoke Market from 9am to 5pm every day, except Monday and full moon days when the market is closed.
