MES invites members to apply for grants

THE Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) and two local computer associations have invited their members to apply for 2008 Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarships.

The scholarships provide support for two-year masters programs in economics, business administration, or information and commun-ication technology at Ritsumeikan University or International University of Japan.

Applicants must have earned a masters degree from a university of Myanmar, have basic knowledge of the Japanese language and show proficiency in the English language, as courses will be taught in English.

Applicants who are members of the Myanmar Engineering Society can get more information at MES headquarters on Hlaing University Campus.

Those who are affiliated with the Myanmar Computer Scientist Association or Myanmar Computer Industrialist Association can get information at the Myanmar Computer Federation at Myanmar Info-Tech, also on Hlaing University Campus.

The application deadline for the scholarships is September 22.
