MES offers courses on engineering
THE Myanmar Engineering Society (MES) has announced a number
of ASEAN-recognised workplace preparation courses for engineers
that will run from September 24 to October 6.
“The aim is to ensure that the engineers who take part are
ready to work in the field. The courses will combine lectures
and practical instruction on all the things they will need to
know when they enter the workplace,” said U Saw Linn, who
is in charge of the course.
“In particular they will be taught about safety guidelines
and fire prevention,” he said.
The two-week course will cost K35,000 and will run from 1pm to
5pm every day except Sunday.
The courses will cover 18 engineering subjects and will be given
by 14 teachers, he said.
This is the second round of MES courses this year; the first ran
from July 21 to August 3 and involved 52 participants.
U Saw Linn said MES expects to run another four courses by the
end of the year. – Htar Htar Khin
