Rehab manual updated

By Khin Myat

THE United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) last month presented an updated version of a Myanmar-language drug rehabilitation training manual it had first published in 1991, said an official from the Department of Social Welfare.

The updated training manual was unveiled at a drug rehabilitation workshop organised by UNODC at Sedona Hotel in Yangon from September 24 to 29.
Daw Tin Tin Mya, an assistant director at the department, said the workshop largely focused on reviewing the content of the new manual.

It was attended by about 15 officials and doctors from social rehabilitation centres and hospitals throughout Myanmar run by the Department of Social Welfare.
