BEIJING – CNOOC Ltd won’t pull out of Myanmar and may increase its footprint in the gas-rich country, a top executive said, rejecting criticism that China’s thirst for energy is undermining Western-led efforts to isolate Myanmar’s government.

 

“But because of the loss of some important documents it was taking longer than usual for Myanma Insurance to pay compensation for the cargo aboard the MV Aung Myint Thein,”

 

“The project is 80 percent complete and 138 shops have been built out of 200 that will be there,” he said. Sunday Mart, a youth-oriented clothing and accessories chain, is the second shop to open at Thiriyatanar, following the launch of the Ko Ko beauty salon.
