SEVERAL fashion shops that sell imported clothing are planning
to open new outlets in Yangon in the coming months.
TTM fashion shop, which opened its first store in 2004 at Excel
Shopping Mall in Bahan township, plans to open a second outlet
at 21st Century Shopping Centre in Mingalar Taung Nyunt township,
with the grand opening slated for early November.
“The new branch will be different from the main shop because
it will offer more imported fancy designs for young female customers
and simple fashionable clothes for women,” said Daw Thi
Thi Mar, the owner of TTM.
“Young women prefer stylish and fancy designs and older
women focus on smart, simple, fashionable clothes,” she
added.
TTM specialises in women’s clothing imported from China,
Thailand, and Taiwan.
MK Company, which currently operates nine outlets in Yangon
and two in Mandalay, will open two new branches next year: an
MK Fashion Shop in Shwe Parami Shopping Centre in Insein township
and a joint venture store at Capital Hyper Mart in Thaketa township.
“MK Fashion Shops sell a variety of imported clothing
brands from America, France, Japan and Thailand for men and women,”
said Daw Ni Ni Myint, the general manager of MK Company.
Marbelkid, which sells children’s clothing imported from
Hong Kong and South Korea, also plans to open another store in
Dagon Centre in Sanchaung township in November.
The chain, which is operated by Aung Kabar Company, already
has four outlets in the Yangon area.
