Scholarship website goes bilingual

By Than Htike Oo

A YANGON computer company is launching a Myanmar-language version of its website featuring information on overseas scholarship programs.

An English-language version of the website (www.myanmarscholarship.com) was launched in October by Info Myanmar computer services company with support from CareS Education Service, which provides free information and advice on scholarship programs.

“Our aim is to provide the latest information about scholarship programs at foreign universities so younger people get the opportunity to further their studies abroad,” said U Kaung Myat Paii, the director of Info Myanmar.

“We want young people who are doing well in their studies and who want advanced educations but can’t afford foreign universities, not to miss the chance to study overseas,” he said.

U Kaung Myat Paii said the website will be updated whenever the company receives information about new scholarship programs.

“If young people come home after finishing their studies, it will be of great benefit to our country,” he said. “We want our website to be a bridge for our youths to serve the country.”
