MYANMAR enter the hunt for medals at the 24th SEA Games on Tuesday
as the shooting events get underway in Bangkok, Thailand.
Eighteen Myanmar competitors will be aiming to leave their mark
in seven shooting events ending Saturday, including veteran shooter
Khin Soe Thike, a 2005 SEA Games silver medallist who will be
taking part in her ninth SEA Games since 1987. She is competing
in the 25m sport pistol and 10m air pistol events
National coach U Kyaw Aye said the shooting events had been
moved forward to allow Southeast Asian competitors to participate
in the Asian Shooting Championships in Kuwait, which will be held
next month during the SEA Games.
U Kyaw Aye added that he was not expecting said Myanmar to bring
back many gold medals from the SEA Games.
