Exhibition by artist U Mon Thet

A solo exhibition of artist U Mon Thet’s work will be held from December 5-12 at the Myanmar Traditional Artists and Artisans Organization building at 188/192, Bogyoke Aung San market (east wing). Around 30 paintings will be on display from 9am to 5pm every day except Monday, December 10.

Music night and fashion show

R Zarni, Big Bag and Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein will be entertaining at the Bossini Music Night on December 8 from 6-11pm at the Yangon International Hotel. A fashion show with Moe Hay Ko, Aye Myat Thu, Htet Htet Wint and 20 other models will also take place. Tickets are K4500 can be bought at any Bossini or Uncle Sam outlet.

MMPO offers loans to film industry

Myanmar Motion Picture Organization (MMPO) has announced that it will lend money to local film makers and producers to buy film, said U Myint Thein Pe, MMPO chairman in the New Light of Myanmar on November 27. These loans are expected to be repaid in full with money earned from box office sales. “The aim of the loan is to help the movie industry to develop and I believe this program will increase the number of the movies made,” he said.
