THE newly built three-storey house with five bedrooms in Mayangone is in a good area with 24-hour water and electricity supply.

The house has a narrow driveway from Kaba Aye Pagoda Road.

The brick walled compound, which is 65 feet wide and 65 feet deep, is secured by a large sliding iron gate which leads to garaging for one car and acommodation for the driver above.

The house occupies a floor area of 2025 square feet and is designed in a Thai architectural style. The compound has not been landscaped and needs some potted plants.

The front portico is box-like with a teak ceiling.

Inside, the living room has teak parquet flooring and plaster cornices on the ceiling.

The large dining room has a Japanese-style sliding door for privacy.

The double kitchen is the main feature of the house. There is a ‘wet’ kitchen for preparing meat and vegetables as well as a ‘dry’ kitchen. Both are equipped with sinks, work surfaces, cupboards, cooker or hotplate and range hoods.

There is a backdoor to the yard and a storeroom with accommodation for domestic helpers above.

On the second floor, there is a shrine room and one master bedroom with attached bathroom and front veranda. There are two other bedrooms.

The curved teak staircase leads to the third floor where there is a bedroom suite decorated with a wardrobe.

There is another bedroom suite with a small veranda and this storey also has two other quite large verandas.

There is one telephone line, eight air-conditioners and two electricity meters. Some furniture is included.
