MYANMAR Treasure resorts are offering special deals during December to entice holidaymakers. The Bagan and Inle Lake locations have a two-night/three-day Sweet December package available until December 31, which includes roundtrip airfares, daily breakfast and accommodation in a twin-share room and one dinner for two; the price is US$135 a person for foreigners and K135,000 a person for locals. The usual room rate per night in a superior room between October and March is K50,000 for locals and $60 for tourists. At Inle Lake it is K60,000 and $70 respectively. The Ngwe Saung resort is offering gala dinners with music and lucky draws on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve priced at $45 and $55 respectively for locals and foreigners. Ma Su Su Aung, the marketing manager for the company, said: “We’ve already received confirmed bookings of 25 to 30 percent for these dinners, including 70 people who have booked through a local tour company.”
