THE government made significant strides this year in its plan to restore constitutional rule to Myanmar, with the long-awaited completion of the National Convention in September followed by the formation of a constitution drafting committee.

ONE of Myanmar’s leading scholars, library expert Dr Thaw Kaung, 70, has been appointed to the advisory council for the establishment of an international university in Nalanda in India’s Bihar province.

THE peak dengue fever season might be over but medical officials have warned that precautions against the disease should continue to be taken as it can strike at any time of the year.
 

The Minister’s comments came at the annual meeting of the Myanmar Fishery Products Processors and Exporters Association, held at the Myanmar Fisheries Federation headquarters in Insein township, on December 15.
