Air Bagan recently began flying to South
Korea. |
YANGON – Air Bagan, in cooperation with Seoul-based Yuma
Air Agency, has launched a temporary charter service between Yangon
and Incheon, South Korea.
Available until February 10, 2008, prices for the round-trip
ticket are US$580. Discounts are avalilable for students and labourers.
Departing Yangon at 11.55pm, the flight arrives in South Korea
at 8.25am (local time) while the return leg departs from Incheon
at 10.25am (local time), touching down in Yangon at 1.55pm.
Ma Sao Thanda Noi, sales & marketing manager from Air Bagan,
said “we had
almost 140 Korean visitors fly to Yangon on December 28 after
the inaugural flight left Myanmar on December 27.”
“Most of the passengers from South Korea are religious
missionaries, independent travellers, tour group, business travellers
and golf players,” said Noi.
“While the tourism industry has struggled since September
last year, it seems this service is successfully enticing Korean
travellers to Myanmar,” she said.
“We will look at the situation after February 10 to decide
whether we will extend this charter flight service.”
