MYANMAR Information and Communication Technology Exhibition 2008,
held from March 23-25 at Tatmadaw Hall in Dagon township showcased
the nation’s brightest and newest info technology developments
and products.
It was jointly organised by the Myanmar Computer Professional
Association (MCPA), the Myanmar Computer Federation and the Myanmar
Computer Industry Association.
Some 83 companies displayed their products and services at the
exhibition’s 166 booths.
U Khun Oo, the MCPA’s president said some 10,000 people
visited on every day of the event.
Myanma Post and Telecommunications used the expo to show off
their new CDMA mobile phone system, intended for use in coastal
regions, the WCDMA system and a video conferencing system.
E-trade Myanmar and Technomation Studios showed their new SMS
software and other companies – including Toshiba, ASUS,
MSI brands – presented their latest-model laptops, PCs and
computer accessories.
