JUST off Parami road, this two-storey, four-bedroom house makes a strong first impression with pink walls and ornate window frames.

It sits in a 3600-square-foot compound relatively near the junction of busy Parami and Kaba Aye Pagoda roads. But the location is far enough away from the lights and noise of the intersection to provide a quiet living environment.

The yard mixes practicality with relaxed living – it’s concrete at the front and there’s a lawn out back, which also features a swing. There are also several trees along the left side of the house.

The house’s second level extends over the driveway, which protects the front entrance from the rain and wind but could be noisy whenever a car arrives or leaves. There are two front entrances – both white, wooden doors that feature ornate oval glass inserts. These open into a living room furnished with a coffee table, sofa, four comfy looking wooden chairs and an air-conditioner.

A hardwood, six-person dining table sits in the spacious dining room. Alongside is a living room, which has a polished wood parquet floor. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom and a single bedroom downstairs.
A curving wooden staircase twists its way upstairs and ends in a comfortable lounge room that faces the road.

To one side is a master bedroom, complete with ensuite, while there’s a single bedroom and ensuite on the other.

A store room attached to the single bedroom has a small veranda that looks over the lawn and colourful flowers in the front yard.

One telephone line, a satellite TV, refrigerator, washing machine and five air-conditioners are included in the rental price.

Government water mains supply water and there is also a 3KVA generator for when there’s no electricity.
