Classical concert for Nargis victims

Young musicians from the Yangon Orchestra will play European classical music, including Beethoven and Mozart at Hotel Chatrium on July 6 from 6-8pm. The fund-raising concert is seeking to raise money to help build houses and provide basic household necessities for families. Tickets for the charity concert are K5000, available at Myaynigone Plaza and Yinmar Recording Center.

Puppet Show

The Myanmar Traditional Performing Troupe has been invited to perform at the 13th anniversary of the International Puppet Show, which will be celebrated on September 10 in Loon, Sweden. Six Myanmar puppeteers are to perform. Last year the Myanmar Traditional Performing Troupe was involved in the International Puppet Show celebrated in Perth, Australia.

May Khalar’s album out now

Actress-cum-singer May Khalar is planning to release an album on June 28 entitled “Years 25”. The recordings are of the live show held in Sedona hotel last December. The album features artists such as Kaiser, Zaw Paing, R Zarni, L Lun War, He Lay, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein, L Saize and Yadanar, not to mention new faces such as Zayanda.The album will be out on multiple formats and is being distributed by IC music production.
