Fresh appeal for funds to continue work
“Nobody has been denied access into the country or to go to the field if they want to go to assist with humanitarian activities … and this gives us a really firm basis for this appeal because we can in fact reach the people now,”

“The price of the food won’t be fixed. This is so that poor pilgrims, especially those from rural areas, will be able to perform the good deed of buying alms food to offer to the pagoda,”

“Donating blood benefits not only the patients but also the donors, who have to look after their own health to donate blood. Only when they are healthy, will they donate blood to others,”

“Right now few people are buying fish for the Yangon market because there are still transportation difficulties in sending them to the city where most of the cold storage and processing factories are located,”

“But we’re planning to combine our findings with those of the ASEAN-led teams that assessed the delta last month so we can create an accurate picture of loss and damage to the fisheries sector,”
“I’ve been negotiating with the Max Myanmar Co., Ltd about the prices. They told me the government had asked them to repair the pagodas, but they still haven’t confirmed the number of hti they want,”

The embassy spokesperson said it was essential for the scholars to be able to communicate at a technical level in the language in which they are studying, which might be German or English depending on the program.

The donation was mostly intended for 20,000 children in more than 100 schools in the Kungyangon area.

“Most of the buyers of new storm insurance policies are industrial firms because they now realize how useful it is to have insurance to protect their businesses from disaster,”

“I have imported Chinese motorcycles through Muse in Shan State but local demand is amazingly high right now there and there have been shortages. We’ve had to wait for two or three days to get the bikes,”

“We’re now in the second step of negotiations with UN Habitat organisation and Myanmar Engineering Society to design cyclone shelters that protect against cyclones, strong winds and tidal surges but that also suit Myanmar culture,”

“Chinese people love to buy Myanmar handicrafts because they have unique cultural flavours. In China, handicrafts shops are found everywhere and the industry is thriving,”

“Apartments measuring between 625 and 750 square feet are in greater demand than condominiums or detached houses because they’re cheaper. And those apartments on the first four floors are being rented faster,”

“I want the dead to see how much our beloved singers care about us by travelling such a long way and meeting with us. I know if they were here, they would be very happy,”

“With this method the picture takes on a lighting effect similar to a photograph. Sometimes we stain the pictures with an antique colour, which many of the tourists love.”

And when Energy’s skipper Zaw Htet Aung was moved from defence into the midfield things started to happen. On 67 minutes Min Min Tun neatly crossed from the right edge and found Naing Win, who made no mistake.
