THE 2008 Mobile Show, held from August 15 to 17 at Capital Hyper market in Thaketa township, attracted about 56,000 visitors, said U Tin Myo Han, the spokesperson from SM3 company, which organised the event.
He said between 13,000 and 25,000 people visited every day to check out the latest and best in mobile technology, including software.

“We split the show into areas for handsets, software and accessories,” he said, adding that free ring tones and wallpapers were given to those who came on the first day. He added that the company plans to host the show every year and plans to expand to Mandalay next year as well.
