LANDMARK Construction will next month begin building 30 two-storey
houses in the outlying Yan-gon township of Hlaing Tharyar, according
to a Landmark director.
“We plan to begin building about thirty duplexes [dual-floor
houses] in early October along Kyan Sitt Thar road in Haing Tharyar
township. Each will have a floor space of 800 square feet and
be on a 2400-square-foot compound. The estimated selling price
for each is K15 million, which includes water and electricity
connections,” said Landmark Construction director U Zarni
Myo Win. The construction period is expected to be six months.
“For K15 million buyers would only be able to get a small
apartment in the downtown area but we will be selling two-storey
duplexes for this price. We’re aiming to sell to people
who want to settle in Hlaing Tharyar and have a business in the
industrial zone.”
This will be the fourth construc-tion project the company had
und-ertaken Hlaing Tharyar. Previous Landmark Construction projects
in the township include the Diamond and Emerald cottages and Nawarat
shophouses. He said the company plans to offer a promotional price
after construction is completed but the discount percentage is
yet to be finalised.
