New Light of Myanmar reported that a second bomb was found 10 feet from the Mahabandoola Park bomb on a seat at the bus stop. It said the bomb was deactivated by security officials just five minutes before it was set to explode at 11:45am.

For humanitarian aid, the Commission works with about 200 operational partners, including United Nations agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Aid is channelled impartially, straight to victims, regardless of their race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.
