IF you’re searching for an apartment and location is the top priority, it’s hard to look past the three-bedroom residences at Pearl Condominium in Yangon’s exclusive Bahan township.

Pearl condo is located on the junction of Saya San and Kabar Aye Pagoda roads so residents have easy access to nearby public transport links. Yankin Center and 8-mile Junction are just a short bus or taxi ride away.

The condominium has an Asia Light supermarket, fashion shops and internet cafes on the ground floor. There are also several small restaurants and snack shops in the compound.

The 1450-square-foot apartment features a living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The floor plan is basic – all the rooms come off the central living area.

The front door opens into the air-conditioned living room, which is nicely appointed with a light-brown leather sofa and television.

The living area and bedrooms are also tastefully decorated with hard-wood parquet floors and pale yellow walls. A shrine area is sectioned off from the rest of the living room by a raised platform.

Beside the entrance to the kitchen is the furnished master bedroom, which comes with a double bed, desk, wardrobe and also has a private bathroom, complete with bathtub; there’s also a small balcony that looks on the surrounding area.

The apartment also comes with two smaller bedrooms, one of which has access to the second bathroom.

The kitchen is appointed with modern appliances, including a fridge and an all-too-rare oven and rangehood. Crockery and cutlery are also included.

Four air-conditioners, one phone line and an inverter are included in the rental price. The condominium has two elevators for the building’s residents.
