GORGEOUS brides decked out in beautiful dresses were escorted by their handsome grooms, all sporting the latest in wedding tuxedos on October 12. But these glamorous couples weren’t getting married in a ballroom, and it wasn’t exactly an aisle they were walking down — it was a catwalk.

Yuzana Garden Hotel hosted its first wedding fair: “Royal Romance Wedding Festival and Best Bridal Show in the City” The star-studded event featured approx-imately 60 model celebrities wearing the latest wedding designs. Models included Htet Htet Moe Oo, Min Yarzar, Christina, Myo Sandi Kyaw, Moe Yu San, Hayman Aung Aung, Min Shin, Zu Zu Maung, Thazin Thin and Aung Ye Lin, alongside other models from Excellent Models Agency.

“It’s the first time we have hosted this type of fair at our hotel,” said Daw Kay Thi Naing, general manager of Yuzana Garden hotel. “The event modelling concept is new for us and is aimed at lovebirds eager to exchange vows before the official wedding season.”

The show consisted of 13 programs between 9am and 7:30pm, which showcased traditional and modern wedding attires designed by Ma Soe, Ma Yin, Ma Mee, Ma Yin Thu Swe, Ma Iris and others.

The wedding festival displayed a range of wedding invitation cards, flowers, wedding gowns, jewellery, photo and video studio services, gifts, cosmetics, honeymoon packages and other wedding accessories.

The event was also an opportunity for the hotel to garner some additional business with a five percent discount on wedding packages.
