MES to offer workplace training for engineers

Kyaw Hsu Mon

MYANMAR Engineering Society (MES) plans to help upgrade the practical skills of the country’s construction engineers, said society president U Than Myint.

Starting the second week of December, MES will offer on-the-job training for civil engineers who are members of the society for a three-week period.

According to U Than Myint, the training, which will take place on Yangon’s biggest building sites, will improve engineers’ job skills by supplementing their theoretical knowledge.

Tuition costs K30,000, and those interested can apply to the society during the first week of December.
