“It only took me one week to draw the painting but I imagined all the steps in my mind for two months. I thought a lot. I wanted to reflect Myanmar culture and my creativity in contem-porary art through my work. So I used a candle dancing with a traditional orchestra as the background”.

“The aim of singing carols during the Christmas season is to confirm God’s existence and actions 2000 years ago and to urge fellow Christians to prepare their spirit for Christ’s birth,”

Ma Ei Thiri Han graduated from Yangon University of Foreign Language with a degree in Korean. The other contestants in the competition were also students at the universities of foreign languages in Yangon and Mandalay.
