EIGHT local construction companies started work last month on
building replicas of famous landmarks throughout Myanmar, at the
National Landmark Garden in Nay Pyi Taw, said a site engineer.
“Construction of a roadway and landscaping for the 1256-acre
garden was started by Asia World Co Ltd in the middle of last
year,” he said.
“And at the end of last month eight companies –
including Asia World – started work on replicas of famous
landmarks from the seven states and seven divisions of Myanmar,”
he said, adding that the work was expected to be completed by
March.
Aside from Asia World, the other companies are Eden, Ayar Shwe
War, Max Myanmar, Htoo Trading, Shwetaung, Golden Flower, and
K and Original Group.
Asia World has been assigned the task of building replicas of
Yangon Division and Mon State landmarks, as well as of Dawei seaport.
Meanwhile, Shan and Kayah state have been assigned to Eden;
Mandalay Division to Ayar Shwe War; Ayeyarwady Division and Rakhine
State to Max Myanmar; Kachin State to Htoo Trading; Chin State
and Sagaing Division to Shwetaung; Tanintharyi Division and Kayin
State to Golden Flower; and Magwe and Bago divisions, as well
as Bagan, to K and Original Group.
The site engineer said the National Landmark Garden in Nay Pyi
Taw will be similar to one already established in Pyin Oo Lwin
in Mandalay Division, except that it will be bigger and will include
waterways representing the four main rivers of Myanmar –
the Ayeyarwady, Chindwin, Sittaung and Thanlwin.
