“We are writing a five-year action plan. When it is finished and endorsed by the Department of Forestry under the Ministry of Forestry, it will be the blueprint for turtle conservation in Myanmar,”

“We didn’t know our daughter could be treated until a friend told us about the operation,” she said. “My daughter was treated last November when they surgically inserted a shunt.” She later returned for a second operation.

“When I decided to venture out into landscape and travel photography, the first thing I did was attend Mike Langford’s workshop on travel photography in Sydney and discover many things,”

This was 1995 – Taungoo had barely reopened to tourists after years of insurgency. The “Visit Myanmar Year” and subsequent tourism boycott campaign were at least 12 months away. The number of annual visitors to the country was still in the tens of thousands.

“Since I was young it became my habit to see the funny side of situations. I hate to hold back but I do not want to burden people close to me with my worries so I create humorous stories based on my bitter experiences and incidents effecting my neighbours,”

He’s been writing for me since my debut. But the audience only noticed him with my song [“Ko a nar shi say chin” (I want you to be by my side)] in the 10 Second album. He knows everything about me and I know him very well too, which is good for me.
