Red Hot Party at San Francisco club
San Francisco DJ club next to Tarmway plaza will he holding a Red Hot Party on June 6 from 10pm until late. Clubbers are invited to wear something red for the event. Tickets are K5000 and include one ‘free’ drink.
Kandawgyi music concert postponed
A hip-hop and rock concert planned for May 23 has been postponed because of the unexpected heavy rain. The music event will now be held on June 7 at Mhaw Sin Island in Kandawgyi Park. Pre-sold tickets are still valid for the postponed event that will feature singers including Sai Sai Kham Leng, J-Me, R Zarni and L Sai Ze.
‘Enchanted Terrace’ art exhibition
Artist Khin Win Kyi is holding a solo art exhibition entitled ‘Enchanted Terrace’ at The Arts House and Arty Art gallery in Singapore on June 5. Forty paintings on the theme of beautiful natural plantations in Myanmar will be on display.
Traders to hold 10th Bridal Fair
Trader’s hotel will hold its 10th Wedding and Dreams Bridal Fair on June 6. The fair will have 20 booths dedicated to wedding photos, dresses, cosmetics, shoes, beds and medical services. It will be open from 9am to 5pm with free entry.

Mu Paing Hnin Si publishes novel
The new writer Mu Paing Hnin Si’s novel entitled “Pin Lae Yae Nway Hmar Khan” (The sea water dissolves in the summer) will be published by Saung Nya Pyar Tho house on June 4.
The writer first came to prominence after winning first prize in a short story writing contest on the theme of HIV/AIDS education in 1999 with the article “Bawa Nuim” (The Mire of Life). This will be her fifth published novel.
‘Fast & Furious’ at Nay Pyi Daw cinema
Action film “Fast and Furious” will be screening at Nay Pyi Daw cinema soon. The film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. The film is directed by Justin Lin and scripted by Chris Morgan.
‘A Phantom in a Car’ film release
A horror movie entitled “Kar Paw Hmar Lite Lar Tae” (A Phantom in a Car) directed by Maung Myo Minn and scripted by his daughter Htoo Nwe Eain will be released soon. The movie stars Min Oat Soe and Linn Zar Ni Zaw.
Goods fair at Victoria Shopping Mall
To usher in monsoon, Victoria shopping mall is holding a goods fair with plenty of discounts. There will also be a lucky draw program running from June 2 to June 8 at shopping centre in Hlaing Thar Yar township.
Traditional dancer Pho Chit will perform on June 6 and 7 at 8pm. Seats for entertainment will be sold from May 24 at the shopping centre.
